Aug 12, 2006 On tap at the brewpub. .3L sample. Aroma is an apparent molasses-like one with some sweet chocolate notes as well. Some light metallic/spicy hops also make an appearance in the aroma. Seems kind of sweet. Mostly hazy light mahogany color with a frothy tan head and nice lacing. Sticky, sweet, sugary flavors to start, turning very medicinal in the middle. Cherries, sweet, fruity finish. The medicinal flavors just kill the flavor of this and make it very unenjoyable.
