Gypsy19 (465), Sacramento County, California, USA Apr 7, 2009 On tap at Extreme Pizza, Sacramento. A fruity/banana-ey hefeweizen that is pretty usual for the style, but ultimately boring. Nothing really stood out too much about this. The palate was probably the highlight, having a spritzy mouthfeel and finish. Decent overall, just won’t go out of my way to be getting this again. Final: Good minus. marcus (1515), Sacramento, California, USA Apr 3, 2009 On tap at Sacramento Brewing. This cloudy yellow beer poured with a thin white head and a flowery wheat aroma. The wheat base is tasty and there is a fair amount of hop bitterness with some banana ester. Nebulor (109), , California, USA Mar 2, 2009 Banana and wheat malt aroma with esters in the background.
Almost a lemon color, hazy, with a white sticky head, and some action.
Banana and a bready wheat grain malt taste with a hint of butter in the background.
Light bodied, slight butter and watery/resin feel, with lively soft carbonation that seems to be krausened.
Very drinkable this sixer will be gone shortly. hayduke (1471), Eureka, California, USA Jan 21, 2009 From a 12 oz bottle out of a $7.99 six pack from BevMo in Vacaville, CA this poured a cloudy yellow with a medium white head and average lacing. Nose of banana and yeast. Nice clean mouthfeel. Flavor is banana mostly, and the finish is dry. Very decent hefe. anders37 (3951), Malmö, Sweden Jan 11, 2009 Draft @ Ruth McGowans, Cloverdale, CA. Pours a hazy pale yellow/orange color with a small white head. Has a wheat malty citrus and banana aroma. Sweetish wheat malty citrus flavor with some hints of banana. Has a sweetish wheat malty finish with hints of citrus in the aftertaste. illidurit (725), Santa Cruz, California, USA Sep 12, 2008 Slightly hazed straw color. Virtually no head and no lacing. Very odd, as this beer shows no other characteristics of being an old or bad bottle. Aroma is very yeasty and spicy, with a banana bready sweetness. Flavor is clovey with some banana pith, vanilla, and a touch of peppery hop bitterness in the finish. Very clean, crisp, and refreshing. Dry and drinkable. AgentSteve (1232), SF Bay Area, California, USA Sep 8, 2008 On tap at Schooner’s, this was a real surprise. Pours hazy golden with an off white head. Nose was a touch of citrus and yeast. The flavor is smooth and lightly sweet bready malt and some honey. Bready sweet finish, but not too sweet. Smooth on the palate. fidel (695), Livermore, California, USA Sep 7, 2008 Updated: Sep 10, 2008Hazy golden yellow, refreshing, citrus, yeasty, bready, spice, malty, little honey, dry.
