A pretty decent example of the style. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow-golden color with a large creamy yellow-white head that lingered and left decent lacing. The aroma was banana, clove, orange and was very bready. The flavor was bread, clove, orange and honey. Medium finish and moderately full bodied. Solid.

Lightly sweet and fruity, with just a hint of spice. A cloudy yellow color and a very thin head!!

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 9/20/11

Aroma: The nose is a mix of orange, yeast, banana, clove, and bubblegum notes
Appearance: This one pours a cloudy yellow color with a fizzy white head and medium lace
Flavor: The taste is medium sweet, same components as the nose, yeasty, and some spice
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a lively carbonation to it, and an average-to-lengthy finish
Overall Impression: Overall, this is a decent hefe. It has most of the classic components to it, and it works alright. It’s a little overly carbonated, and it doesn’t have anything standout about it, but it still isn’t a bad one.

12oz. Bottle: Aroma of wheat, coriander, yeast, banana, herbs, vegetables, and grain. Poured yellow/slight amber in color with a tiny, rocky, white head that disappeared except for around the edges. Cloudy. Slightly sparkling. Full of small, medium, large, and huge-sized particles throughout. Flavor is lightly sweet. Tastes of grain, wheat, herbs, vegetables, and some yeast. Light to medium body. Average texture. Wheat, grain, herb, vegetable finish.

Bottle at cgarvieuk’s. Bright musty yellow, thin white head fades to nothing. Hazy but not opaque. Slight clove, lemon, bubblegum banana nose. On the palate, juicy tropical fruits and some bready malt. Clean fruit finish. Nice, slightly unusual Hefeweizen.
