Malty, mild hop aroma. A fairly decent Oktober brew, it would have been nice if it was richer. Good malt/hop balance.

A very satisfying session brew, with lots of flavor. Not a particularly nice looking pour, but no negatives there. Aroma fruitier than your standard lager. Flavor buttery, toffee, quite sweet. Well hopped for the style, perhaps a tad heavier on hops than expected. I enjoyed it.

Deep amber color with a light creamy head. Aroma of malt toast nearly ideal, unfortunately there is a touch of oxidation. Munich malt flavors throughout with just enough hops to cut the sweetness. A true fall session brew
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 hayduke (2445) - Eureka, California, USA - JAN 20, 2009
From a $7.99 six pack from BevMo that poured a clear copper with a thick off-white head and good lacing rings. Nose is caramel malts with some ripe fruit notes. Rich and chewy mouthfeel. Flavor is toward the sweet side, and the finish is the same.

Pours deep ruddy brown with a tan finger thick head. Nose is sweet and malty as is the flavor, with candied sugar and dark fruit. Sweet finish.
2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20 awaisanen (1312) - Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 30, 2008
UPDATED: OCT 31, 2008 From a 12oz Bottle. Mostly transparent, copper mahogany colored body with a finger of fizzy ivory head. Rich, malty aromas of graham cracker, light raisin melanoidins, and hints of caramelized pear. Medium bodied, softly carbonated mouthfeel with a rich, malty texture. Flavors of bread crust and teething biscuit with a hint of raisin nut bread. A bit too chewy, but the malt sugars don’t get excessively sweet. A pleasant hop bitterness helps dry up the finish. Tasty malt flavors, but needs a lighter body to help increase drinkability. It shouldn’t be a chore to finish a 12oz bottle.
