Tasted of soap to me but otherwise a bit of a malt fest as would be expected. Hard to get excited about this one

12 oz. bottle. It pours a nice clear reddish amber color with an off white/orangy head. The aroma is very malty with some caramel and fruit, but mostly malty grains. The flavor is strong and complex with toasty and fruity malts and a nice noble hop presence near the finish. A really satisfying yet easy to drink beer. A near perfect Octoberfest.

Bottle - Pours clear amber with a foamy tan head. Nose is big and caramelly, with lightly toasted malt and light herbal hops. Same taste--lots of toasted malt, caramel, and a bit of herbal/floral hopping. Slick, with minimal carbonation. Good, but a bit too sweet.

light amber with a small dissipating white head. Light malt and toast in the aroma. Dry malty flavor with no hops noticeable. Finishes dry with a mild bitterness. Ok but nothing special.

12oz bottle pours deep clear copper with thin near white head. The aroma offers up some sweet caramel malts, a nice biscuit maltiness heading toward sort of grainy bread as well as Pilsener like malt sweetness. The taste has a sweet and bready and somewhat caramel maltiness. In between the malts is a slight dark fruity esters sweetness and some lagery yeastiness. Nice, there’s enough going on here to keep it from getting too sweet.

12oz bottle. Good pour, reddish-amber color and light haymarket aroma. Slight head fades, decently strong carbonation. Slightly burnt taste, traditional. Great body, full but not overpowering, easy to drink, a great tribute to the style, which I love!

Bottle. Caramel in the aroma. Malty to the taste with some spice and caramel. Very tasty but not too striking. Bit hoppy at the end.

355ml bottle. Slightly cloudy amber colour with small to average, frothy, moderately lacing, off-white head. Intense caramel malty aroma, bread and biscuit notes. Taste is caramel malty with some hay and a minimal spicy touch. Lively carbonation brings freshness.

Clean Malty nose, clear slightly amber color. Rich smooth mouth feel with a pleasing Malty taste and a hint of hops in the finish. Overall clean dry and crisp.
