A nice drinking o’fest that is a bit too chewy and under attenuated. Very drinkable and recommended, but not at the 9.99/six I paid at the local liquor store.

Smooth, malty with a bit of sweetness and a bready, earthy quality. Finish tapers off with a hint of hops. Nicely balanced.

Tasted of soap to me but otherwise a bit of a malt fest as would be expected. Hard to get excited about this one

From bottle. Pours amber-orange with no head. Rich malt aroma. Taste is malt perfection, very rich, caramel and toffee. Sweet on the palate. Could do with a head on this. Excellent marzen though

Bottle from Stirchley Wines, Birmingham. Amber colour, fizzing, departing head. Sweet, barley sugar aroma. Very pleasant - balanced dryness and sugar hover on the tongue. Short finish, but tight and refreshing.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Colonial Wine and Spirits, 9/20/11
Aroma: The nose is caramel malts, some roast, nutty notes, and a little bit of earth
Appearance: The pour is a clear caramel color with bubbly white head and drops of lace
Flavor: The taste is malty like the nose, rich caramel malts and some light-medium sweetness
Palate: The body is medium, with an average carbonation, a decent mouthfeel, and a slightly dry finish
Overall Impression:
This is another solidly made German-style lager from these guys. The ones I’ve tried thus far haven’t been overwhelmingly good, but they have been both true to style and well made. This one fits that bill as well.
