argo0 (6227), Washington DC, USA Feb 8, 2002 Tasting Notes from Fall 2000: Nice aroma of malt, OK bitterness, smooth BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA May 11, 2006 Bottle: Auburn ruby, thin head, light lacing. Nose of light sweet caramel and grassy hops. Very faint. The flavor is moist like wet dog and underhopped malt; light sweetness. The finish is tinny and watery, needs either more body or more sweetness, but I think that’s synonymous with this one. JPDIPSO (4266), Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, USA Dec 27, 2002 Deep amber color with a light creamy head. Aroma of malt toast nearly ideal, unfortunately there is a touch of oxidation. Munich malt flavors throughout with just enough hops to cut the sweetness. A true fall session brew. DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 21, 2007 Bottle from Beer on the Wall, which has become a favorite of mine due to the rapidly rotating inventory, fair shipping rates, and sturdy, reshippable cardboard boxes that they ship with. This one pours chill hazy deep copper with minimal head. Aroma is caramel malt, slight brown sugar, toffee, and red wine grapes. Tastes caramel malty for the most part, with notes of berry, brown sugar, almond, walnut, and cabernet. beerguy101 (3488), Newark, California, USA Oct 4, 2002 Medium brown color, medium head. A medium bodied marzen style beer. Malty and slightly sweet. Somewhat hoppy. Nice mild nutty and fruity flavor. Good taste. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and slightly dry. Smooth taste. Aftertaste is dry and slightly malty. Nice refreshing beer.
