Taverner (432), San Ramon, California, USA Jul 16, 2008 Just not that great of an Oktoberfest beer. Too sweet, and not very lively. Pours copper with white thin head.
larryLSB (16), La Selva Beach, California, USA Jul 29, 2008 12 oz bottle bought at brewery. Pours nice smallish head, off white, copper colored with a hint of citrus. Aroma seemed to come and go. Very nice drinkable beer one of the better Marzens brewed in the area. bulletrain76 (531), Santa Cruz, California, USA Jul 27, 2008 12oz bottle. Clear copper colored lager with a medium sized beige head that has some lasting foam. Smells like fresh bread with some malty caramel and hop spice. Lots of toasted bread and caramel flavors with some balancing ho spice, but the emphasis is placed squarely on the maltiness. Finishes with a lasting bitterness of medium intensity. Medium bodied. A nice märzen that might even be better than the bulk of the beers that I had in Munich last fall at Oktoberfest. marcus (966), Sacramento, California, USA Jul 9, 2008 This amber ale poured with a thin beige head and a malty aroma. The flavor is well-constructed with tasty caramel malt base and moderate hopping. It’s not spectacular, but it’s a good session beer. DTM (361), Winters, California, USA Dec 21, 2007 On tap, part of the 10 beer sampler. Amber in color. Slightly hoppy, but also has a sweet side. One of the best of the brewers.
