Bottle. Golden and clear with low carbonation. Pleasant dryness and a medium body makes for a well balanced and pleasant pilsner.

This is a decent pils, but not outstanding. Crisp but not a real distinctive to the flavor otherwise. Still, impressed with Sudwerk.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 AlchemistZ (493) - Richmond, Virginia, USA - JUN 23, 2005
Pale golden in color. Head sits like whip cream on top of this highly carbonated lager. Dry aromatics with spicy hops and an underpinning of malt. Mouthfeel is soft and pleasing. Flavor is wrapped with aggressive hop flavor but a little hop bitterness that allows the malt and hop flavor to prevail. Hop flavor is earthy and spicy and maltiness has a subtle graininess.

(12oz Bottle. Draft at brewery. Draft. 03/2006) Wonderful sulfur, malt and floral hop aromas. Beautiful pale straw gold just approaching gold with a fizzy white head. Malty with just the right hint of hops. A medium-full palate. This really is a good beer and I’m not sure why it is rated so low ... maybe it just doesn’t travel well?

Light in color and aroma with a grassy nose. Malt and yeast dominate the flavor profile with just a hint of bitterness.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 TAR (2346) - Lafayette, Colorado, USA - APR 6, 2003
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2005 Pale blonde. Rapidly dwindling fizzy dirty white foam. Zingy, spicy laced aroma with lemon zest, minerals, grass, and straw. Beautiful carbonation: expansive and fluffy. Full straw-like, bready malt flavors capped by a lightly coarse, floral tinged bitterness brushing the back of the throat. Lingering metallic notes accompanied by traces of dough. A simplistic, yet flavorful pilsner.

12oz. bottle. Pale yellow-gold color with a medium sized rocky white head. Grainy aromatics with tinges of spicy vegetal hops. Bitter, spicy hop nose gives way to a grainy, somewhat husky malt flavor. Clean, crisp profile in the finish is marred slightly by a stale bread element. Mouthfeel is light, fairly dry.

The best german style pils around. Soft honeyed malt with a touch of hay. Very clean hop bitterness with a lite nose of grass and honeydew. Nice hop nose clean and soft dry finish.
