3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at The Davis Beer Shoppe. Note: tap guy opined that he didnít like earlier version all that much, but this was an improvement. Pours dirty dishwater amber with a 3 finger creamy white head. Lightly sour aroma - perhaps with a bit of citrus. Almost med body. Flavor starts sour hefe - picks up a bit more citrus. Hefe aspect disappears. Not super sour - but surely fits the style. Finish retains some sour. Quite quaffable.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
An acidic hefe that is refreshing and easy to drink. Tartness makes it served a little cooler and this holds back the wheat notes of banana, etc. but. Very enjoyable. Chose it two days in a row and would recommend to others who like sours.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours gatoraid whitish yellow, white and lacey head. Somewhat sweaty nose, some grains, a little citrus zest at the tip. Flavors are more grainy and somewhat muddled without much acidity to make it come together as it should. Kind of dishwater flavored...just not a thought out or even carried through berliner...and whereís the acidity?

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tap. Moderate grain for the malt, lemongrass for the hops, barnyard for the yeast, with hints of coriander and ginger root. Head is small, creamy, white with some lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy yellow. Flavor starts moderately acidic and finishes lightly acidic and slightly bitter. Palate is light to medium, watery with a lively carbonation. A little bland acidity-wise to be considered a good Berliner Weisse, but itís still pretty refreshing.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The pour is a very hazy yellow color with a thin white head and surprisingly good lacing.
S: There is a hint of acidity on the nose, but for the most part it is sweet wheat and a bit of clove. Much more reminiscent of a hefeweizen than a Berliner weiss.
T: The tartness is nowhere to be found on the palate. Lots of German yeast notes with clove and a bit of banana. There is a fruitiness to it, but itís more sweet citrus.
M: The body is medium with a low to moderate level of carbonation.
D: This was a decent enough beer, but itís definitely not a Berliner weiss. I was certainly disappointed by this and found it difficult to score, because itís not a bad beer, but itís not as advertised.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours cloudy yellow with a nice white head. The aroma is very hefe like with pronounced notes of clove, banana, lemon and a touch of vanilla. The flavor is nice and wheaty with clove and just a hint of lemony tartness. Pretty tasty wheat beer if youíre no expecting a traditional berliner.

2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours a hazy straw yellow, nose was similar to a watered down lager. Taste was not like a berliner weisse, it tasted like a watered down wheat beer. Zero lacto presence, zero flavor presence to be honest. and for a 5% berliner I expected a hell of a lot more.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Served on tap at Toronadoís SD. The appearance is a dirty dish water yellow brown. A nice wheaty, earthy tones to this one, not really tart at all like you would expect. An average offering.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
On tap at Beachwood BBQ - Seal Beach, CA. Aroma is a light seltzer-like wheat sugar and yeast. Subtle. Pours a clouded pale sand and gold, with plenty of sticky whitish head. Flavors are of really high quality wheat malt and very faint, super-light tartness. This is not sour enough for me, as a Berliner Weisse and is much too sweet for the style, I think. The wheat flavor is really nice and of a high quality, but with so much sweetness and not enough acidity, it doesnít work for me.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 7/20
Draught at the brewery. Opaque yellow with a lasting fluffy head. Lots of creamy wheat and spicy clove in the aroma with a mild fruitiness. Lots of creamy body with a fruity yeast character and light spice. Faint tartness in the back. Creamy body. Not even close to a Berliner, but a nice mildly tart hefe. Enjoyable with no preconceptions, but just a poor try at the style.
