4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Had on tap at the Sudwerk dock store, but rating from a pour from a growler. Staff said this was a twist on their dry stout with vanilla, chocolate, and coffee (the "Three Best Friends"). Color is black with tan head. Aroma is predominantly roasted malt with light hints of coffee, chocolate, and vanilla. Flavor is nicely balanced and matches the aroma perfectly. A nice roasted malt flavor is the base with hints of the three best friends. Palate is slightly creamy with a slightly dry finish. Overall this stout doesn’t try to overwhelm you with any one flavor (or even all three), it just provides a nice blend of all three in a very drinkable stout.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Davis BeerFest. Pours dark brown with a thick tan head and a funky treacle aroma. There is a very dry dark molasses flavor with some chocolate and vanilla.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
On tap at the dock store. Bought a growler. Aroma is amazingly vanilla, chocolate, and roasted barley. I’ve also tried the regular dry stout, but thisi is the twist it needs! Palate is dry. Overall a amazing beer! One they should definitely move up from the dock store to production, but as long as its exclusive I’ll keep hitting it up!
