COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Pale amber, light and refreshing summer or session ale which simply bursts with the fresh tastes of malt and hops. This, allied to it's pleasant aroma, is guaranteed to quench the most thirsty palate, yet leaving you with the desire to explore it's full flavour with a hint of bitterness, again and again.

Cask (handpump) @ Kays Bar, 39 Jamaica Street, Edinburgh, Scotland EH3 6HF.

Clear medium orange amber orange color with a average, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, strawberry notes. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, fruity - strawberry. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20100205]

Cask gravity, Hereford 2010. ’Cool Hill’ say my notes. Orange-edged amber with a creamy white lid and lace. Kind of a Scottish Banks’s; hay and caramel with gentle dried fruit undertones, hints of peat and choc. Pleasant but not impressive.

Draught at JD’s Galashiels. The only cask beer available on this visit. Hazy, with a thin head. This was pretty much an average bitter with no distinguishing features other than a rather sharp bitter edge to the finish. I wasn’t impressed, which is a shame as I rate the other beers from Sulwath quite highly, perhaps I should try again if I come across it again.

Gravity @ Betteroffnotgoing Festival. Slightly dull amber. No aroma. Thin, sharp bodied. Some apple. Some acid. A slight nuttiness, but very faint. Not interesting. A bit green. Some allowance made.

A very thin pale summer quaffing style ale. Drinkable, but nothing to write home about. Cask (gravity), Battersea Beer Festival.
