Cask Bon Accord. Pours clear golden. No discernable nose. Taste is almost Zambuck and Oddfellows. Another Sulwath for others with more liberal tastes. Poor.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 foxo82 (40) - Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 19, 2012
Bottle. Not your typical pilsener - perhaps the bizarre love child of a Czech lager and a British golden ale. The result is better than that description would have you believe. In amongst the usual suspects of hops and citrus I also picked up a waft of smoke and banana. This poured crystal clear in just the right shade of yellow (for the wrong shade of yellow, see Miller Genuine Draft). The head, whilst small, hung around for a lot longer than one would expect from a bottled lager, with a nice amount of lacing. There’s a lot going on with the palate: both sweet and bitter; smooth yet carbonated, with just the right amount of effervescence to keep the tongue tingling without ensuring you’ll be burping the National Anthem on the way home. The end result is a very unusual pilsner but a very satisfying one.

1.1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 3/20 yngwie (8717) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 18, 2011
Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A gusher, producing a big foamy head soon reduced into a finger-thick layer of dense, white bubbles. The aroma has a fruity hoppyness as well as a distinct rubbery touch. Super effervescent on the palate, medium to thin. Rubbery flavor with fruits and pale malts. Sure a beer gone bad, but as it wasn’t past BB-date, I have no other choice but to axe it. 110318
