Cask at Euston Tap. Darkish, no head, slightly thin looking colour round edges. Nice enough but was a bit disappointed - mouthfeel a bit thin, coffee flavour indeed there when gargled but otherwise I found this beer a bit bland.

33 cl bottle.
Pours pitch black color with a large, frothy beige head. Aroma is quite intense with espresso, some ashy chocolate, roasted malts and some dark fruit notes. Quite appealing aroma actually. Flavor of ashy chocolate, dark fruits, some caramel and coffee notes. Slick and somewhat watery palate. Like the coffee though.

Tap East, Stratford 3 Nov 12. Svart. Lavt, litt farget skum. Litt syrlig fruktig aroma. Smaken krydret kaffe med en syrlig ettersmak.

Keg at Tap East in Stratford, shared with Finn. A few spots to the glassware. Deep, dark-brown body. Smell of coffee grounds. Flavour of coffee added by a little tartness. Nice coffee bitterness to the finish. Crispy on the swallow. Likable (London, 03.11.2012).

The head is not there, the body black. It smells sweet-roasty, coffee. The Taste is very sweet, roasty, wood, tobacco, grappa, the aftertaste more bitter. 9/10/11/11/-/11

August 30, 2012 - on draught at Euston Tap. Black with a smallish creamy tan head. Smells and tastes of stale, acidic coffee and dry cereal grain, a little bitterness but no alcohol - some earthiness in the taste but not the aroma. Light body, weakly carbonated, a little sour in the finish. Just okay.

I’m turning into a beer twat. Drunk this side by side on my own in my house with their Mokko. Preferred other one, smoother and milkier. Too many stouts are brewed for me (not specifically for me hoho) with coffee intended, but that’s all a bit well.... the milk is a little subtler, and if you’re looking for a word to describe me then subtle would be near the top. I don’t think SW are that good at stouts from my experience so far. Very good at other stuff, but their stouts nah.
