A pale gold ’West Coast Pale Ale’, a zingy fresh yet easy drinking pale ale with a dry hopped aroma coming from Amarillo & Rakau hops. Light, fruity & enticing. In mythology ’Hermes’ was the fleet footed messenger of the God’s & this nimble pale ale gets it’s bristling hop laden message through every time!

330ml bottle. Pours a pale gold colour with lots of head initially. Some nice grassy grapefruit notes in the aroma. Taste has lots of citrus character and ends with a nice dry bitterness. Palate-wise it feels a bit muddled. It’s a decent stab at an APA, with the fruity character pretty much spot-on, but the beer itself just doesn’t quite hang together well enough for me.

Pours a pale gold, with a decent head. Aroma of citrus, hops & malts. Well carbonated. Big bold grapefruit & lemon flavours, plenty of hops and a lasting bitterness on the finish. Good beer.

[330ml bottle, Summer Wine Brewery] Hazy golden beer with a decent white head. Aroma of grapefruit and lemon coming from the Amarillo. Got the standard Summer Wine bitter finish, following plenty of zesty fruit. Lemony citrus throughout. Dry and very drinkable [04042012]

Bottle from Coppers in Newcastle. Pale golden in colour with a tropical fruit and very sharp grapefruit hop flavour and a dry, very bitter, slight woody finish.

Bottle from SWB website. Smells like citra, which is fine by me. Taste is, by turns, light and perfumed, yet insistent on the finish. Some grapefruit and tangerine, some pepper and crispy pine freshness. Easy drinking a really breezy. Good stuff.

Bottle thanks to Nate. It pours hazy pale yellow, with a thick fluffy white head. The nose is tangerine, orange, hay and straw. The taste is resin, hay, citrus pith, metal and tangerine, with a good hop bite and big bitter finish. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth-feel. Tasty and easy drinking.
