Fargen er svart med tynt beige skum. lukter sjokolade og mildt kaffe og malt. Mild kaffe/sjokolade også i smak. Kort ettersmak. Medium fylde.

0.33l bottle. This one has a medium sized very rapidly fizzing away brown little head on top of a cold brown cloudy body. On the nose I get good amount of fresh grounded coffee blended with mild sweet licorice, some roasted malts, a little bit of cardboard and a nice dark sweetness. If smells quite nice, not extreme in any way but quite nice non the less. Yeah, it’s sweet. No surprise as it’s a sweet Stout. A lot thinner than I expected in the mouth. Almost a little watery and the big bubbles are about average. Some cold coffee, more sweet licorice, lactose and it’s leaving a slightly dry toasted but really milk sweet taste in my mouth. I have to admit that I’m no great fanning the genre, and this is just a tad too sweet for my liking. Still, it’s definitely worth a try. 02.08.2014

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Black with a creamy off-white head. Has very light roasted malt notes, and its very milky character accounts for this, although feels thin in the palate for it.

330ml bottle from Summer Wine Online. Black-brown colour, beige foamy head leaving lacing and aroma of roast malt, dark fruits, powdered chocolate. Taste is roasted malt, smokey notes, dark fruity and milky chocolate with some coffee earthy bitterness. Smooth mouthfeel, soft carbonation, roast bitter finish. Quite drinkable.

Mörkt brun sojaliknande färg. Mycket len och ganska söt smak med en fudgeaktig eftersmak. Lättdrucket trots väldigt mörkt öl.

Bottle at home. Has clear and deep brown to black colour. Not so much foam, but a little beige colored. Roasted notes in the aroma along with more coffee, chocolate truffles and some leather. A little gentle aroma on this. The taste is light and sweet with more roasted malt, chocolate and some rubber. Mouth feel is silky and light, with an expected low bitterness. A nice sweet stout. A little gentle version, but is fairly easy to drink.

Aroma is really sweet and no roughness what so ever. It almost smells a little sugary. The taste has that milk chocolate feeling, a touch of vanilla and there’s is some darker roast coming through in the end. There is almost no bitterness at all here, but still I find it pretty enjoyable, even if it is on the weaker end. Acceptable.
