Cask from The Ale House, Chelmsford. This is a delicious, easy to drink milk stout. Very dark with a good head - no beer could look better! Thick, excellent texture. Milk chocolate aroma. Best beer of the year so far...

Not a bad looking beer if you can get over the head being somewhat temporary. It looks almost cherry coloured in the bottom of the glass with good clarity in the dark body. The aroma was a little bit oxidised and coming across the other side of the world can’t have helped this. There’s also touches of cola and definite sweetness in both aroma and flavour. Not a bad drop. Warming and endearing.

Aroma of coffee, dark caramel, and Cola. Dark caramel, faint vanilla and roast notes in the flavour. Sweetish aftertaste. Kind of mild and milky. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
