Cask. Deep brown colour with a small beige foamy head. Aroma is mild roasted malts along with raisins, some berries, rye bread and mild chocolaty notes. 3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jackl (2587) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 15, 2012
Cask @ CPK. Deep brown with a small white head. The nose is mild chocolate, pumpernickel bread, deep rotting red fruits and light coca cola. The taste is light vinous strawberry and mild chocolate. Some earthy light coffee notes too. The body’s light and easy to drink. Overall a very nice mild that I think was overpowered by some of the bolder Summer Wine beers on keg. Still, very good.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Scopey (3243) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAY 7, 2012
Cask at CP&K. It pours deep ruby-brown, with a bubbly off-white head. The nose is chocolate, roasted malt, charcoal, smoke and coffee. The taste is leather, roasted malt, nice bitterness, wood and charcoal, with a dry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. A decent mild, if a little unexciting.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20 Svesse (5197) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - APR 28, 2012
(Cask at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, London, 18 April 2012) Dark brown colour with foamy, beige head. Malty, roasted nose with dried fruit, dark bread, chocolate and caramel. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, chocolate, coffee, dark fruit, raisins, prunes and a slightly bitter-sweet finish. Rather thin body, with a touch of sweetness. The low alcohol level and the great taste makes this extremely drinkable. One of the best milds I’ve tried. Very nice.
