Bottle. Hazy golden pour, minimal white head. Malty nose, with a roated note. Taste is crisp, primarily malty, with a hoppy hint of pine. Pretty good. Medium body, soft carbonation.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Hazy, dark orange. Film of sticky, white head. Aroma of bitter chocolate orange. Fair bit of spicy hop. Taste is very sweet, turning full on bitter. Oily palate. Very punchy. Finishes long, full on, spicy bitter. I do get it. But I don’t care for it. It’s a bit at odds, for me.

Bottle from The Bottle Shop Canterbury. intrigued by the name more than anything. Hazy dark amber colour lasting beige head. Light chocolate on the aroma. Light carbonation. Some hops. It’s odd. Some hop some milk chocolate flavour. Some bitterness on the finish with some sweetness. Odd. Sticky hoppy aroma. Sweetish milk choc ipa

Bottle from Barbeerian, nice colour, off white head, aroma is slightly chocolate/toffee. Chocolate taste comes through softly followed by bitterness and kinda reminds me of a DIPA. Odd but drinkable, well worth experiencing.

Nocturne (1211) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2015
Tap at BrewDog Manchester. Hazy reddish shade. Washes of white head, some lacing. Smells earthy and piney with a strawberry-like fruitiness. Taste is more bitter piney flavours. I love a gimmicky beer, but while the flavours here seem close to chocolate they don’t even come close to nailing it. Not a bad IPA in itself though.

The_Osprey (3507) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - APR 28, 2015
Keg at Draft House. Dark reddy brown, sparkling, hazy, small dense foamy off-white head endures, leaves thick lacing. Aroma is chocolate syrup, pecan pie. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste has more pecan and chocolate syrup, resin, pine, straw, some pithy drying orange bringing up the rear, a little astringent. Chocolate fades over time, but it achieves what was promised. Weird, but it grew on me.
