3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 madmitch76 (10000) - , Essex, - SEP 16, 20123rd August 2012 On tap at the Rake. Very hazy orange - amber beer. Tidy cream coloured head. Smooth palate, pretty dry at the end. Juicy but bitter hops. Bitter orange, mango and grapefruit with a little pineapple and lemon. The bitterness keeps going. Finishes semi dry with strong bitter linger. Needs perseverance this one - initially too bitter but when the palate adjusts it’s very nice indeed.

Keg @ The Jolly Butchers. The pour’s a slightly hazy golden color with a large white head. The nose is strong, fresh hoppy bitterness. Plenty of citrus and sea grass. Some orange. The taste is mango and lemon peel. Syrupy sweetness. Unwashed herbs and dirty root. Some sprucy hoppiness. Strongly aggressive bitter finish. Overall, a very robust IPA! Good stuff.

Keg at the Southern. Hazy dark orange, thick fluffy white head leaves good lacing. Resinous pine, pithy orange, softest crystal/cara malt character. Soft juicy peach and soft malts before a huge whack of pine and grapefruit bitterness. Really rich without being cloying. Incredible bitterness. Lovely.
