330ml bottle. Cloudy golden colour with average, frothy, half-way lasting, moderately lacing, white head. Floral yeasty aroma, some citrusy hop notes. Taste is slightly monotonous and somehow narrowly concentrated and simultaneous yeasty, citrusy, acerbic and bitter hoppy, minimally spicy. Nice composition, though.

33cl bottle. Pours bright hazy light orange with huge white head and loads of lacing. Aroma gives plenty of pungent Belgian yeast alongside some sweet pineapple, lemon, and refresher-bar-esque sugary tropical fruit. Taste has some lovely citrus fruit, pineapple and tangerine: lots of Belgian yeast character comes through and fizzes on the palate. Slightly tart and lightly funky. Very dry finish. Lingering citric bitterness and yeastiness. This is a great creation, but the bottle I had was nearing its BBE - I'm sure this would be a 4/4.1 when properly fresh. Good stuff Summer Wine!

Pours hazy burnished gold and fluffy white head. Enticing dry gooseberries and apricots nose. Some lime pith too. Fairly pithy bitterness develops into a long fruity finish. Light carbonation, medium body and plenty of character. Lovely.

330ml bottle from Ales by Mail

BBE 30/6/2013 - Pours clear orange with a massive foamy head. Aroma of stingy hops, exotic fruits, hints of funky yeast and grass notes. Taste is hoppy, crisp and fruity with hints of yeast and spicy notes. Finish is bitter, hoppy and slightly malty with some crisp and stingy fruity notes. Okay, quite balanced and tasty Belgian style IPA.

33cl bottle from Bottle Shop, Canterbury. Who would have thought 3 years ago when I had the Elbow Grease that Summer Wine would have turned into such a good brewery. This is hazy orange gold with a thick cream coloured head. Resiny hops mix with an estery Belgian yeast on the aroma. A tasty Belgian yeasty IPA. I like almost everything about this beer. The aroma, the mouthfeel the flavours the finish is particularly good mixing all the hop, yeast and stinging bitterness with some high citrus flavours too. Very drinkable and very likeable. Just a good beer.

Bottle at home in London. Pours cloudy gold with an absolutely massive, white head. Seriously, this beer was 95% head at first pour before settling down. Nose holds lots of piss, big brett funk, some plastic, grass. Light to medium sweet flavor with lots of manure, tangy citrus, bitter grass. Medium bodied with average, somewhat lively carbonation. Dry, bitter finish with lots of funk, poop, plastic, grass, orange, lemon, urine. Quite an interesting beer, and quite good, too.

Ah, Belgian yeast providing a big head. There was a guy at school we used to call blockhead cause he had a big cubic heeeeeed. I digress. I was gonna talk about Belgian yeast again. But I won’t. Do SW use Belgian yeast a lot? Anyway - onto the stouts... This was nice

Bottle at home 6th September 2012. Christ this is a pain to pour, reminds me of de molen beer, once I got through the huge head, I could smell the Belgian yeast and some bitter hops, green not ripe banana. Taste is bitter and yeasty, some banana and exotic fruit. It’s a good beer

330ml bottle, cracking beer, weird though got typical belgian smell and i fekkin hate belgian beer, but this was soon battered out of the way with the serious buisness of the hops (just about enough in there lol !) settled down to a citrus explosion with some banana like esters, quite lively id have it again!

On keg at The Bow Bar Beer Festival. Pours a cloudy golden colour with a fair white head. A pungent aroma of pineapple, passion fruit and Belgian yeast, interesting! Similar flavours with alcohol quite present and nice bitterness. Mild carbonation and a chewy mouth-feel. Great idea.
