COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
A Rich Dark Porter brewed with 10 different malts giving a sweet roast richness that is balanced with just enough hop character. This ale has a surprising drinkability for it’s colour and abv. Don’t let the sumptuous roast malt fool you, this porter is seriously potent & has the potential to take you to another place...

UPDATED: APR 21, 2014 330ml bottle (Viisi Pennia, Helsinki)
Jet black, huge tan head. Serious roasty grainy aroma. Lovely full mouthfeel, coats the mouth but is remarkably refreshing. Very spicy burntness and hops, almost sharp retronasals. Lovely full roasty taste, burnt but not ashy. Almost gingery spiciness occasionally. Finish roasty, but also dry bitter earthy hops, and some husky graininess. Very drinkable, lovely attenuation.

August 22, 2013 - hand-pull cask at Craft Beer Co (Brixton). Nearly opaque ruby-black with a decent lasting rocky beige head. Smells like a black IPA - medium semi sweet roast with a lot of lush green herbal and resin bitterness. Taste - follows, a little more porter-y with more slight sour treacle roast malt and maybe some espresso - light alcohol presence. Light, slick, mildly carbonated, quickish finish - starts a little fruity/toasty and finishes dry and coffeeish/herbal. Very nice.

330ml bottle from Zesty Edibles in Gympie. Very dark almost jet black with small brownish head. Malty complex flavours and nice lingering finish on the palate. Not a bad Porter. Enjoyable.
