Cask, Regular;
Our flagship pale session beer for 2011, pale golden almost blonde in colour, Zenith is packed with zingy Centennial hops which give a citrus bite & flavours of lime all set against a pale malt backdrop. Low in abv but big in the flavour stakes & all set off with a massive dry hop aroma, this beer ups the stakes in the pale & sessionable market.

Cask at Euston tap. Aroma is really earthy, damp straw, rough citrus rind, little dank. Hazed yellow straw coloured pour with a thin white head. Flavour is composed of grainy, straw, earthy citrus, rough round the edges. Assertive back of the throat bitter. Balance is of. Palate is grainy, moderate carbonation. Tangy finish.

September 9, 2014 - at Old Fountain - handpull. Slightly hazy pale gold with a small bubbly white head. Smells like a simple grassy golden ale - a little fruity, mostly dry, not overly sweet - hint of citrus; light. Taste follows - a little lemon character, light alcohol, balanced. Light, airy, lightly carbonated, tries to have a bitter pithy finish, but it ultimately fades too quickly for that - not bad; refreshing.

Half pint, cask at Craft Beer Co Covent Garden. Near clear golden body. Bubbly ring on the rim of the glass. Lemony hops on the nose. Taste of ripe citrus added by a bite of apricot. Semi-dry ending. A little thin bodied in the mouth. Okay (London 11.07.2015).

Cask at Draft House. Yellow, a little hazy, still, big bubbly white head, thick lacing doesn’t stick. Aroma is lemon pie, sherbet dibdab, flowers, some card. Body is medium, smooth, low carbonation. Taste is lemon drizzle cake, straw, tangy with a light astringency, flowery hoppy linger. Solid sessionable stuff. The most popular beer on tonight with good reason.

BlackHaddock (6336) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - JUN 29, 2014
Half-pint, cask: Old Fighting Cocks, Oakengates on 29th June 2014. Clear light golden pour with a white head. Mild citrus notes in the hoppy aroma and taste; this lessens the sweet maltiness flavour in the mouth and helps to balance the beer nicely. Pleasant and easy drinking brew, medium bodied with a semi-dry finish.
