Launched in June 1997 to meet the demand for a lower gravity beer. The name allows the customer to call the beer by a name of his choice. Mid brown in colour, full of crystal malt and hop flavours, malty taste with a hint of malt and hops aromas. The mouth feel belies itís strength. Supreme Champion Cornwall CAMRA Beer Fest, 2001.

Cask Conditioned handpump Slug & Lettuce Leicester. An amber coloured beer with a white head and lot of lace. Some tired fruit in the aroma suggesting perhaps this is not at its best. Richer and fruitier in the mouth. Not a ton of character but itís OK.

UPDATED: JUL 10, 2010 Cask at Wellington Arms, Bedford. Mid gold with a small white head. Faint aroma developed into malt and pear drop. Taste began sourish, soon overlaid with a pleasing golden syrup sweetness with some background grain. Some bitterness. Surprisingly good. 10.7.10 Same location. Noted a hint of cider, not apple, in the aroma. Rough malty taste. Good sessioner with lots of flavour. Rated 7,4,6,4,13:3.4

Cask handpull at Market Porter, Borough. Chestnut colour with lasting beige head. Smooth caramel in mouth, caramel/hop aroma. Sweetish earthy caramel finish. Some dry earthy hop. Bit like a Camerons beer. Not my style, but the hops are good.
