JDW Crystal Palace. It's a stout Jim, but not as we know it. This is so laid back it's fallen asleep on the job. The colour is deep red - rather thin looking, with a decent off white head of mixed foam and bubble. Roasted barley aroma. Thin bodied with little flavour. Mostly neutral palate, though it ends sweet in a very short finish. Even as a mild this is a poor do.

Dark brown colour, not opaque. Distinct Camp coffee aroma. Quite dry, with hints of coffee and chocolate, but doesn't have any great depth of flavour. Not very stout - the body is a bit thin. OK but uninspiring. Cask (handpump), Lord Moon of the Mall (JDW), Whitehall, London SW1.

Cask Conditioned, Masque Haut, London.
Dark brown with a white speckled head. Thin aroma, not much to go on but sweet dark malt stout. Sweet chocolate flavour and as the description correctly notes, moderate bitter hop undertones, most notable towards the finish. Not offensive in anyway, just a little thin.
