Not a bad blend, but itís a bit grassy for my taste. The bitterness lingers a bit after swallow.

Delicious easy to drink all occasion beer. Lots of flavor and complexity for a pale ale.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
UPDATED: MAR 29, 2016 Pours a clear golden orange from the can with thin off-white head that leaves moderate lace. Aroma of mild resinous citrus and a hint of caramel malts. Taste follows, clean and easy, simple pale. Decent, but unexciting.

Light, citrus aroma. Very smooth body with a light malted finish. Not a lot of hop presence in the taste.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at The Ground Round (Worthington, MN). Poured light amber with a nice tan head and nice lacing all over the glass. Aroma of grain malts and hops. Taste is bit malty and sweet, biscuits and some fruits that are balanced with some hops. Enjoyable and super easy to drink.

Iím not sure whatís so "extra" about this beer. What does "extra pale" even mean? Extra normal? Extra plain? Extra boring? Not really sure, but it does look great and taste great, so thatís pretty neat.

12 oz bottle to tulip. Pours clear amber red, small dissipating beige head. Aroma of crystal and pale malts, cirtus rind and grass. Taste is the same but with a nice grapefruit hop flavor. Highly acidic. Mouthfeel is light-mod. Heavy carb.

Keg @ Cuzzyís amver pour with a creamy head. Nose is toasty white bread and caramel. Some grass. Little to it. Flavor is pretty mild, milquetoast. Light grass and bread. Easy going. Active carbonation.

Biscuit and caramel sweetness in the nose with nice earthy with slight citrus in the bitterness but very balanced. Very easy to drink. Mouth feel is perfect to drink a lot of these. Clean and crisp. Am I in London?

A- Pine, gummy bears, oranges, citrus, juicy.
A- Golden orange color, hazy liquid, white head.
T- Pine, slightly bitter, juicy, oranges, gummy bears.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, juicy finish.
O- After having the Summit IPA, I was leery about this one as I didnít like it, but damn this one turned out fine. Tons of juicy hops that remind me of orange gummy bears. Not overly bitter and definitely refreshing.

Summit Extra Pale Ale offers a dizzying list of people who are apparently good candidates for drinking this stuff: construction workers, stock brokers, farmers, etc. While I do like approachable hoppy ales, Iím most impressed by the binary botanical beers; the aggressive hop-infused ales that will amaze the people theyíre brewed for and alienate the rest. Yeah, Extra Pale Ale isnít that beer. Its aim is for the masses. In this case, "extra" definitely doesnít mean more hops. With a very strong bread/yeast note, this ale is malt-forward. I liked this brew, but I sure didnít enjoy it the way I did Summitís Sage IPA.
