3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle, a very enjoyable beer! Bottle, poured dark amber, with minimal head. Aroma of sharp grains and malts, flavor of an exquisite nature, something a bit biting and a bit smooth. Bitter. Very nice. AN enjoyable beer that I shall purchase again!

I got this one out of their winter sampler pack, i have to say this one was my least favorite of that four pack. The aroma was awful it reminded me of canned peas. Even worse was the flavor mirrored the aroma with very little bitterness showing up. Overall this stuff wasnt good, and i wouldnt recommend it. Originally rated on 11/22/08

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one is one they should bring back! I used to drink this all the time. Pours a amber color with fluffy off white head that slowly faded and showed some lacing. Aroma was malty dirty hops and citrus vegteble. Taste was bitter malty hops with a metallic finish. Palate was medium thin watery and dry.

Glad I got to try it when it was around! Actually like this better than the EPA. Nice orange pour, white head. Aroma has notes of pine, lemon, and some biscuit. Bitter lemon peel, pine, round out a nice sweet bread middle, finishing nice and bitter.

Poured from a 12 oz brown bottle into a mug. Pours a decent layer of an off-white head. Lacing wasn’t very solid here. Color is very appealing. It has a nice, robust amber color.
The smell is off a great balance of hops and malts. Nothing to strong on either part. The taste is quite similar, but the floral hops are more present here.
Carbonation level is pretty smooth and leaves a nice creamy bitter taste in your mouth.
Overall this a solid beer. Definitely glad I picked up a sixer of this. This beer could definitely be used for sessioning as it is only 5.1% abv.

Calling this an ESB is a stretch, as that brings to mind a Fuller’s ESB - a fabulous beer. The Summit has a very nice spicy, lemony aroma, great head and lovely orange color. The body is a bit thin, without much interest, and the finish doesn’t have the complex hops of a good English ESB. But it’s OK, especially if you can get it on sale.

Sweet malt aroma, almost reminiscent of raisin bread. Reddish brown in color. Flavor is very malty with some dried fruit mixed in with a touch of vanilla in the aftertaste. Overall its very good... a nice brew for the winter.

A clear orangish-copper pour with medium off-white head that dissipates quick. It has a mildly sweet bread and hay aroma with some grassy hop notes. The taste is lightly bitter with a medium body and a mildly bitter, dry finish.
