Cask at GBBF 2012, London. Pours rich brown with a bubbly, beige head. Smells like s’mores, with dubtle dark fruit notes as well. Medium to big sweet flavor, some poo, grapes, grapefruit and ripe melon, along with roasty malts. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sticky sweet on the finish, somewhat resinous, with burnt pine, dark sugars, marshmallows and tar. Very dynamic stuff.

Cask at GBBF, 7/8/12. 7.7%. Black. Aroma - Choccy, sweet malt and some piney, citrus hops. Also a sort of fruity/raisiny & tobacco smell. Leafy hops. Taste - Lightly sweet, rich fruit, plum pudding, bit of aromatic grapefruit, some roastiness. Tasty. Body is mid-heavy. Hoppier & lighter than a normal stout/porter.

Autumn Brew Review, 2012. Dark brown with a thick palate. Low carbonation. Full flavored, much more so than modern Guinness. Roasted grain and a very light smoke character. Thick palate, a great stout.

Cask @ GBBF ’12. The pour’s deep brown with no head. The nose is nice sweet chocolate milk, some grass, and roasted cedar wood. Mildly floral and fresh aromas. The taste is more of the same. Rich chocolate malts balanced by charred wood, light delicate hoppy finish. Medium body, easy to drink. Very well integrated. Good flavors. Nicely played!

UPDATED: AUG 8, 2012 Cask at GBBF 2012, black - brown with coarse small tan head, gorgeous nose with treacle, coffee and green hops, the palate then delivers on the promise, with a dank hoppy body, rich and satisfying with burnt caramel and the bitterest cocoa. Burnt treacle and hops finish.
