COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summit Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.

12oz bottle, picked up from Party Town a week or so ago. Code on bottle is "11741257". Dark brown color. Thin light brown head. Decent bits of lace. Medium body. Smooth, crisp carbonation of moderate strength. More dry finish. Good bitter dark chocolate, nice amount of roast malt. Some earthy hop. Good moderate bitter taste, lighter but kind of lingering sweetness. Just a hint of metallic in the finish. Solid porter. Better than expected.

For not typically being a porter guy, I really enjoyed this poured out of a 12oz bottle. Had a nice creamy head with plenty of chocolatey aroma. A good balance between roasted malt and subtle hoppiness.

Another great beer from Summit. Malty, roasty, nutty and not too sweet- everything a good porter should be.

12oz bottle poured into glass. Nice subtle hints of chocolate, semi sweet with a little bit of a dry finish. Simple and straight to the point.

Typical Porter. Nothing crazy, nothing bad. The lighter palate is the only problem with this that I dislike.

12 oz bottle, best by 03 25 13,pours black with a small diminishing light brown head . Aroma is moderate burnt coffee with hints of rasin and chocolate. The body is medium -light, a bit thin for a porter. The flavor of coffee and chocolate are short lived. The long lasting burnt astringent finish is the biggest downfall to this beer.

Not bad standard porter. Roasted malt essence on the nose. Dark chocolate brown color. Roasted malts up front with a little smokiness. The palate was average and the carbonation average as well. Easy to drink. There are many much better than this. However, there are even more that are worse. Worth a try.

bottle - Pours very dark brown with a lingering tan head. It has a rich roasted coffee aroma. The flavor is of dark roast malt and coffee with a medium body and a full, well balanced flavor. Good porter.

Deep brown pour. Nose is a mix of smoky roasted malt, toast, and a slight mineral edge. Somewhat nutty. Flavor is nutty toasted malt with some roasted malt, light caramel, and light bread qualities. Average mouthfeel. Okay stuff.

Bottle. Deep brown body. Frothy, big-bubbled beige head, lasting. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Light resin. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Some tartness in the finish. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A bit chalky in the mouth. Lingering coffee bitterness.
