COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summit Porter is very dark, but lighter-bodied than you’d expect, with a robust, malty character and a delightfully sweet finish.

Bottle. Deep brown body. Frothy, big-bubbled beige head, lasting. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, vanilla. Light resin. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Some tartness in the finish. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. A bit chalky in the mouth. Lingering coffee bitterness.

2013 bottle to a pint glass. Pours a dark brown with red highlights and a foamy tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malt with a very faint sourness. Taste is dark malts, very roasted and charred. A nice bittersweet dark choclate note at the end. Good lacing. A medium mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap while eating some good steak. Roasty is the word I’d use to describe. Above average brew.

Dark and malty, nice sweet aroma. Overall a quality porter, though not in the upper echelon of the style.
