COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summit Hefe Weizen is brewed with a high percentage of malted wheat, then a small amount of authentic German weizen yeast is left behind to help maintain its brewery freshness. And that’s what accounts for Hefe Weizen’s unique cloudy appearance.

From 12 oz bottle. Pours fizzy cloudy gold (sediment was VERY settled in the botle). Flavor is sweet and yeasty. Very pleasant but not very flavorful. Little bit of fruitiness to the finish.

Rating from 2010: Pours a slightly cloudy yellow with white head. Aroma of faint tartness, faint banana, not much going on. Flavor is very much the same. Mouth feel is light and some what watery. Overall, simple brew.

This beer is really pretty decent, but still nothing much to it. I like some more complexity.

Pours hazy golden with strong splattered lacing. Fruity throughout, pears, banana, and citrus lend a tart aroma. Flavor is fruit and mild with a slightly slick finish.

Draught at TND: Aroma of fruit, wheat, and a hint of spice. Poured yellow in color with a large, rocky, white head that greatly diminished but lasted throughout. Hazy. Sparkling. Flavor is light to medium sweet. Excellent lacing. Tastes of wheat, slight spice, slight coriander, cereal, grains, slight fruit, and a hint of hops. Medium body. Lightly dry texture. Soft carbonation. Light to medium sweet, wheat, grain, cereal, and slight fruit finish is lightly dry.

This is a very scaled down hefe. The usual hefe banana, wheaty aroma and flavors are there, but are so faint that they are hard to detect. A touch of the usual grainyness you get from summit is there also. Its really not bad, but the flavors are just too subdued.

Yellow with lasting foamy head that capped the beer most of the way down. Malty wheat, dried banana, brown sugary smell. Lightly sweet. Lighter body, quite watery. Would probably go really well with some french vanilla ice cream or other light sweet.
