3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 FreshHawk (596) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAY 4, 2011
Bottle.
A - Nice hazed lemony gold with a full, fluffy, thick, creamy white head. Good retention leaving a thin lace.
S - Nice aroma full of typical Hefeweizen scents. Strong banana, bubblegum, and wheaty bread. Clove is in the back providing a nice spicy kick on the finish. Pretty well balanced.
T - More tangy wheat and bready flavor than the nose suggested. Some spiciness and lemony citrus comes out as well. Some banana and bubblegum in the background.
M - Lightish body with average carbonation. A little too thin and watery - lacking the really nice creaminess.
D - Easy to drink, not as much banana flavors. Goes down really easy though.
Notes: Good domestic hefeweizen, not as much banana/bubblegum with a bit more tangy wheat and bready flavors. Good although I was not blown away. Balanced beer overall.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 arminjewell (2445) - Parker, Colorado, USA - FEB 27, 2011
Pours cloudy yellow with white head, aroma of banana, bubblegum, some clove, lots of fruity esters. Not a bad hefe overall, nice sweet banana, esters, bubblegum, and a touch of clove finishing sweet, but not enough spice to balance.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20 hero12 (178) - Minnesota, USA - SEP 19, 2010
Pours a hazy golden orange with a one finger white head that hangs around for a while. Very sweet aroma, can’t really put my finger on it, maybe a little bubblegum? Taste is very sweet. Beer is moderately carbonated but still very smooth with a quick finish, watery medium bodied.
3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 oh6gdx (15510) - Vasa, FINLAND - SEP 9, 2010
Bottled@Monks Café, Sveavägen (during Summer 2010). Hazy yellowish golden colour, small white hea. Aroma is wheat, quite much citrus fruits, mild bready notes as well as some slight spicy notes. Flavour is being quite much the same in a rather refreshing way.

For some reason I wasn’t expecting much from this one..probably a previous bad experience with a Summit beer. Anyway this was a surprising good one! I might even have this at one of my home parties = good brew!!!

On tap. Pours hazy orange with a small, but fluffy, white head. Aroma is bubble gum, spices, and slight banana. Flavor is spicy and a hint of bubble gum. Thin on the palate. Let down after the pleasant aroma.

Did this beer under go a change? It used to be on tap all over the place then was gone. Tried again and it seemed different. Less flavorful than before and a little watery. Serving: Bottle and tap
