COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Summit Hefe Weizen is brewed with a high percentage of malted wheat, then a small amount of authentic German weizen yeast is left behind to help maintain its brewery freshness. And that’s what accounts for Hefe Weizen’s unique cloudy appearance.

Cloudy yellow color. Smelled a bit spicy, and wheaty. Tasted okay for a hefe, certainly not one of the better available though.

Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a lazing off-white head. The aroma has notes of wheat and malt as well as hints of fruits. The flavor is sweet with notes of yeast, wheat, and cloves, leading to a dry wheaty finish.

12oz bottle, best by 9/19/11. Nice, big foamy white head. Almost totally clear yellow color. A light classic hefe flavor, clove, banana and vanilla in there. Some lemon citrus. Taste is a light zesty sweet. Decent hefe, especially considering the best-by (beggars can’t be choosers for retired beers)

From 12 oz bottle. Pours fizzy cloudy gold (sediment was VERY settled in the botle). Flavor is sweet and yeasty. Very pleasant but not very flavorful. Little bit of fruitiness to the finish.
