COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
An inspired hybrid that blurs the boundaries between IPA and Amber styles. The exceptional blend of American hops (including the harder-to-find Horizon variety) gives it an intense pine, citrus and earthy character in the nose and on the tongue.

Bottle. Coppery bronze color-really not red at all, with a creamy white head. Very fresh hop smell with a sweet bready malt background. Very clean bitterness, not overlly bitter, with a light mouthfeel and a clean, slightly sweet fresh flavor. Dries out quickly and makes you want more. Very simple straightforward malt flavor with a very fresh hoppiness. Good no-brainer drinkin’ ale.

Red, deep copper/amber appearance. Nice clean citrus hops and some bread and malts on the nose. Taste is clean citrus hops with a nice malt base and an easy dry back end. Very drinkable, not a bitter hop bomb but a nice balance of hops and malt.

Draft at 3rd Base. Pours dark red with nice off white head and lacing. Nose is nice citrus hops. Taste adds some malt sweetness. I liked this a lot better than I thought I would.

Bottle to glass. Pours a dark amber color, small tan head. Aroma is piney hops, floral with light malty sweetness. Solid IPA aroma. Taste is fantastic, great hoppiness with medium bitterness, fresh hop cone and pine. Medium body, medium carbonation. Hops are featured well here, good but could use a bit more of a malt balance. Still I would drink this all day.

joejames (284) - Jacobus, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 5, 2015
Bottle to shaker glass. Pours amber red, two finger off white billowy head, nice lace and retention. Aroma of caramel and pine. Taste is somewhat sweet for an IPA but has nice medium bitter notes. Medium light body, lightly carbonated, soapy mouth feel. Finishes bittersweet with notes of caramel, pine, brown sugar and bitter herbs. Different but more like an amber ale to me.

A nice solid, mild IPA. Maltier than some. A nice malty backbone. Not roasted. Very smooth.

Bottle - average size foamy head, dark copper/Amber color, good size grapefruit hop aroma and flavor, well balanced though with biscuity sweet malt, very good overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Great aroma, really enjoyed this in the sampler. It presented as most summits present, with moderate carbonation and subdued head. Sweet with a good follow through on the pallet. This one will hang around for a few seasons.

Brown amber, tan head and lacing. Pine, grapefruit, and subtle coffee notes. Not quite an IPA ...something missing. $1.99/12oz bottle at Total Wine and More, Boca Raton Florida

Bottle - Pours a clear amber/copper with a fairly large, creamy head and some lacing. Aromas of sweet citrus, grapefruit and pine. Taste has grapefruit and semi-sweet malts. I would like more of a sweet amber and IPA bitterness, but I like it overall.
