An inspired hybrid that blurs the boundaries between IPA and Amber styles. The exceptional blend of American hops (including the harder-to-find Horizon variety) gives it an intense pine, citrus and earthy character in the nose and on the tongue.

Bottle. Coppery bronze color-really not red at all, with a creamy white head. Very fresh hop smell with a sweet bready malt background. Very clean bitterness, not overlly bitter, with a light mouthfeel and a clean, slightly sweet fresh flavor. Dries out quickly and makes you want more. Very simple straightforward malt flavor with a very fresh hoppiness. Good no-brainer drinkin’ ale.

Bottle - Pours a clear amber/copper with a fairly large, creamy head and some lacing. Aromas of sweet citrus, grapefruit and pine. Taste has grapefruit and semi-sweet malts. I would like more of a sweet amber and IPA bitterness, but I like it overall.

Transfer from BA review on 8-22-12 - Poured from bottle into pint glass Appearance – Pours a nice garnet color with a big off-white colored thick head. The head has fantastic retention but eventually fades to give great level of lacing. Smell – The aroma is light but consists of a toasted malt aroma with some lighter caramel notes. Taste –The taste begins with a roasted malt flavor with an ever so light sweetness. As the taste goes on, hop flavors begins slowly coming into the taste. They start out of a pine nature and are relatively light in the beginning and the middle. As the taste advanced further however a stronger hop bitterness of a earthy and pine nature comes to taste and brings the flavor profile to an end. Mouthfeel – The thickness is on the average side as well as the carbonation. The carbonation level is very fitting although a little more creaminess may have helped with the somewhat harsh flavor left on the tongue at the end of the taste. Overall – Relatively hoppy and flavorful amber-red beer, but nothing that is worth going out of the way for.

Pours copper brownish. Two fingers of white foam. Aroma is slight pine but fairly subdued. Hops explode in the flavor though. Slight maltiness but mostly just lots of hops. Cascade? Nice beer. Finishes somewhat dry.

Pours a clear burgundy with average head and lacing. Hints of caramel and toffee on the nose. Malty, a little bready, slightly bitter, with notes of caramel and brown sugar. A very drinkable red IPA.

Bottle. Light toffee malt and orange peel aroma. Reddish brown with giant light tan head. Mildly sweet toffee malt and moderately bitter metallic orange peel flavor. Okay but basic.

Poured from 12oz bottle, dig the fact most of these 6 packs are $6 a piece, pours a clear dark reddish brown with an off white head and spotty lacing in the glass, aroma has a nice citrus touch with a lot of caramel and malt as well, works together though, the flavor has a citrus front end with more of the sweetness in the finish, kind of boring through as it gets muddled, not terrible.

A really solid IPA. Pours brownish red with spotty lacing and white head. Aromas are dank, toasted grains, caramel. Flavors are roasted grain, citrus, pine. Nice sweet malty backbone. Well balanced. Very nice.
