COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our traditional Oatmeal Stout uses golden oats and a blend of Chocolate malt and Roast Barley for a smooth, full bodied beer with flavours of coffee, dark fruit and chocolate. Lightly hopped with UK varities, this sweeter Scottish-style stout has been aged in the cask for 2 months on oak with a touch of Sovereign dry-hop.

Dark color, but not a thick or heavy beer...doesn’t taste burnt. Not heavily carbonated, in fact, a little flat, but still a very good flavor.

Pour out of cask at Winterfest 2012, pour was nice dark chocolate brown with creamy tan head, aroma brought notes of lightly toasted malt, rich chocolate and milky coffee, hints of slight oak, touch of earthy hops in there as well. Taste was a slight oak but really not much, creamy chocolate and coffee notes with an earthy quality, some nice caramel notes mix in to some roasted notes, finishing with a hint more earth. Pretty nice, but not much different than the original.
