COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
While it may resemble a popular Irish Stout, our Oatmeal Stout is quite different. Most notably it's sweeter. Chocolate, coffee and caramel flavors round out this smooth, full-bodied beer.

Second day at GBBF 2013, devoted to mainly US ales. One-third pint of this one from gravicask dispense. Named Summit Brewing Vanilla Mocha Oatmeal Stout, 4.7 % abv. Spotty lacing, not much head, dark brown body colour. Earth and chocolate malts on the nose. Flavours of vanilla sweetness offset by dusty hops and mild coffee grounds. Malty, bittersweet tail. Velvety in the mouth. Fine bodied and tasty. (Backlog from London Olympia 14.08.2013).

1/7/2014. Nitro version on tap. Rated malt, chocolate, coffee and molasses. Sweet vanilla flavors with coffee and chocolate showing through. Good balance.

Draft at GBBF 2013 - London. Pours black-brown with a light, white cream head. The aroma holds moderate milk chocolate and vanilla along with secondary coffee notes. Light-medium sweet flavor with mellow chocolate, vanilla-laced coffee, some bitter earth. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Pretty sweet to finish with Dunkin’ Donuts coffee, more milk chocolate. Tasty.

Pours dark brown/black with a medium very creamy tan head...great retention and lacing. Aroma is roasty with mild dark chocolate. Flavor follows suit and adds a nice mild coffee note and a touch of bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and creamy with a roasty dark chocolate/bitter finish. Really very tasty!

Nitro draft to taster. Looks good; settles into a dark cola with creamy light beige head. Smells and tastes solid; dark malt, chocolate, and light coffee with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. A good example of the style.

GBBF Day 2. Sold as ’Vanilla Cask Mocha Oatmeal Stout’. Opaque dark brown beer. Small bubbly pale tan head. Light dry palate with modest carbonation. Light coffee and fairly sweet vanilla. Nice touch of unsweet dark chocolate. Light dry finish.

On tap at Stout’s. Pours a black color with tan head. Creamy, roasty oatmeal flavors. Alright, a little light bodied for a stout.

Super frothy pour from tap at standard market. Black. Not much nose to it. Light and mild stout. Slight oatmeal notes. Malts. Not a lot going on but I did just have some big beers before this

Excellent cascading pour via nitro tap. Darkest brown, chocolate, roasted malts and a bullseye of sweetness. Oatmeal and light bitterness balance out this Sweet Stout.

FROTHINGSLOSH (4895) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 23, 2013
Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a large foamy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, cocoa, a bit of marshmallow and was a touch dusty. The flavor was dryish and roasty with notes of wood, cocoa and a touch of vanilla. Medium length dryish roasty cocoa and vanilla finish. Moderately full bodied and creamy. Decent.
