Pours dark brown/black with a medium very creamy tan head...great retention and lacing. Aroma is roasty with mild dark chocolate. Flavor follows suit and adds a nice mild coffee note and a touch of bitterness. Mouthfeel is full and creamy with a roasty dark chocolate/bitter finish. Really very tasty!

Nitro draft to taster. Looks good; settles into a dark cola with creamy light beige head. Smells and tastes solid; dark malt, chocolate, and light coffee with a nice, smooth mouthfeel. A good example of the style.

Super frothy pour from tap at standard market. Black. Not much nose to it. Light and mild stout. Slight oatmeal notes. Malts. Not a lot going on but I did just have some big beers before this

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Sampled on draft at the House of 1000 Beers this beer poured a black color with a large foamy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was toasty malts, cocoa, a bit of marshmallow and was a touch dusty. The flavor was dryish and roasty with notes of wood, cocoa and a touch of vanilla. Medium length dryish roasty cocoa and vanilla finish. Moderately full bodied and creamy. Decent.

Summit tap room tour. Pour was beautiful, best rolling cascade Iíve ever seen. Settles black with thick creamy mocha head. Aroma is rich roasted malt, oatmeal and coffee, vanilla and molasses. Taste is incredibly smooth and creamy, oatmeal and coffee upfront, vanilla, caramel, slight chocolate. Itís sweet throughout, but never overpowering.

Draft. Inky black pour, khaki head lasts forever. Aroma: roast coffee, chocolate, hints of caramel. Medium-full body, smooth creamy texture, soft carbonation. Taste follows nose, smoothe and easy going down, slightly sweet with short, dry roasty finish. Overall: this is really quite nice.

On tap at Ikeís in Minneapolis Airport. Served in a 14 oz sleeve. Black with lots of tan nitrogen head here. Took a few minutes to settle down. A rather sweet stout with chocolate and coffee overtones. Very smooth and mild. Nice!
