While it may resemble a popular Irish Stout, our Oatmeal Stout is quite different. Most notably it's sweeter. Chocolate, coffee and caramel flavors round out this smooth, full-bodied beer.

I think this may be Summit’s best effort to date. I am truly sadden to see this go in March. A very smooth and creamy stout and a great alternative to Guinness for the people who are beginning to try new styles. It is only available on nitro-tap. Had on tap at Durty Nellie’s

Keg @ Lyndale Tap House. Deep brown with a creamy tan head. Attractive beer. Pleasant nose. Sweet without being sharp or cloying. Oatmeal cookies. Cocoa powder, chocolate milk. Mellow coffee. Sweet and creamy flavor. Chocolate cookies. Mild roast on the finish. Silky, full mouthfeel. Good stuff.

ON nitro at the golden saucer. Good flavor but lacks depth. For me, the profile ends with a little bit of a watery finish.

Tap/nitro - big cream color head, pitch black color, big roasty coffee aroma and flavor, smooth creamy finish, good for a stout ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On nitro. Pours an opaque cola. Coffee cream head. Chocolate and light coffee aroma. Creamy mouthfeel and burnt biscuit flavor.

On tap at Ike’s in the Minneapolis-St. Paul airport. On nitro, how could this look anything but beautiful? A Deep brown stout capped with a cappuccino colored foam, soft and dense. The aroma of sweet coffee, with a dash of cream, and as I take my first drink I realize that the flavors are mirrored perfectly. The taste is sweet, and as much as I am not a fan of sweet Stout, this one is actually pretty tasty and not overboard with the sweetness. Thick creamy body with a touch of carbonation, just enough to liven the beer, but enough to kill the experience of a nitro on my tongue. Great stuff, very tasty with an enjoyable body. I would do this again.

Had this on nitro at Foster’s Pint & Plate in Rogers. Pours dark brown with a creamy off white head (thanks to nitro). Aroma is an even blend of roast and dark chocolate. Mouthfeel was very creamy and smooth. Really nice beer, and even better on nitro.

Dark black. Thick lacing. Creamy head. Sweet. ...very sweet. Somewhat chocolate after sweetness fades.

Smooth oatmeal taste with a fair amount of boldness at the end. As far as oatmeal stouts this is the standard of measures.
