COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed in the Märzen style, Summit Oktoberfest brings alive the famous European Fall celebrations. Summit Oktoberfest has a reddish-bronze color, a rich malty aroma and a satisfying smooth finish.

Pours a light amber-orange with a thin layer of head that quickly dissipates into a ring with nice thick edges. Aroma is a os some carmel malts, a bit sweet, with a little bit of zest and spice. Flavor is malty sweet with some bitterness on the end. A long finish of carmel malts and a little hops that seems to linger.

Nice dark golden color, reasonable wispy sized head. Did not last long. Smell is bubblegum sweetness, maybe some cotton candy slight bready notes. In the taste, well there isn’t a whole lot. Kind of dim. Very surprising that it has that much alcohol flavor. All I can really taste is pale malt. Poor quality. I can see drinking a lot of this if you were out to get ripped, but other than that I don’t see any point to this beer existing.

Nice reddish brown appearance. Hints of nuttiness but I really didn’t enjoy the aftertaste, left a film in my mouth.

Nice crisp clear amber and copper coloured body with a perfect, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of nuts, light spice, alcohol, caramel and a bit of toffee - nice smells. Medium-bodied; Strong potent spice and caramel kick with a lot of toasted malt, alcohol, nuts, earth, pumpkin pie spice and a good pungent toffee flavour. Aftertaste is quite strong with a lingering spicey taste, a bit of alcohol and a good malt presence. Overall, a nice marzen, one of the better i’ve had recently - with great complex flavours and a strong finish. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 04-September-2011 for US$1.45 sampled at home in Washington on 25-September-2011.

Amber with a thin beige head, medium body, and medium carbonation.

Aroma is fruity and sweet with some faint caramel malt.

Flavor has strong minerality, some nuttiness, thin sweetness, and floral hop bitterness.

Overall, has some nice qualities, and nothing too bad, but it doesn’t quite come together into anything special.

Clear copper color with a soapy white head. Aroma of grain, bread, and metal. Caramel sweetness with grain, bread, alcohol, and metal flavor. Quite hot for the style.

A decent Oktoberfest with a nice mix of malt, yeast and hops but lacking in oomph or interest.
