TheDean (784), MIlwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Nov 28, 2006 A very average Oktoberfest. Nothing real special about this, but nothing that makes it bad either. I guess that is basically the defination of average...
phishpond417 (1110), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Jun 17, 2008 Flavor of this beer is very earthy indeed. Pours a clear amber body with a thin white head. little to no lacing. Carmel, grass and asparagus in the aroma. Flavors are somewhat nutty. Very lightly carbonated mouthfeel. noticable almond flavor. 1FastSTi (2355), Glendale, Wisconsin, USA Apr 7, 2008 Filtered yellow amber body with a foamy white head. The aroma is typical Oktoberfest with sweet and acetic malts, husks, clean crisp o-fest smells, and floral hops. The flavor is also very good with a nice sweet sugary malt, floral hops, caramel, o-fest yeasts and kettle corn. Very well done. Acetic, lightly drying, carbonated, and has a subtle hop linger. Very nice! This beer’s quite underrated. valpoaj (272), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Feb 20, 2008 Pours light copper color with medium off-white head. Aroma is pretty weak, but light and pleasant, and consists primarily of sweet malts. Flavor is different than most other marzens...has the telltale sweet malt flavors, with some light chocolate accents mixed in, but there’s an odd bitterness mixed in that really doesn’t seem to jive well with the beer. The finish is relatively sweet, and there is a pretty nice body on the drink, but the odd bitterness took its toll...not my favorite from Summit incutrav (487), Woodbury, Minnesota, USA Feb 14, 2008 Not sure why i never rated this until now. Very nice, smooth malt feel to it, slight hop presence. Somewhat bready mouthfeel to it. One of the better O fest around MN for sure SavageElvis (131), Savage, Minnesota, USA Jan 18, 2008 12 oz. bottle. Pours out a very nice deep old gold color with a finger high head. A very pleasant sweet malty caramel aroma. This medium bodied brew has a very nice milk caramel flavor with just the right amount of sweetness. Substantial mouth feel lays weighty on the tongue. The flavor and feel stays consistent through the entire journey form the tip of the tongue to the back of the throat. I very nice Octoberfest offering and on the best I have tried this year.
