Solid mellow taste. Light malt no caramel or roast notes. Slight floral smells. Great beer for outside in the heat!

I like pilsener and IPA, and this one was really of my type. I tasted it at the brewery after touring, and I will definitely try this Summit beer as bottled products too.

2.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle as Pilsner. Pours a very clear gold with a nice white head. Nose is really nice with a good spicy Saaz thing going on. Clean with faint malt. On tasting, it takes a turn for the worse. Lots of sweetness and generic malt overall. Low bitterness, lacks the bite of a pils. Clean but soft. Wish it had a bigger hop presence.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The smell is vibrant with biscuits, honey, malts, yeasts and barley. The flavor however is very lacking with just honey and a slight lemon flavor. Nothing offensive about it aside from the lack of flavor

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 9/20
12oz bottle, best by 8/24/11. Thin white head. Mostly clear golden color. Nice, lighter smooth carbonation and dry texture. Decent, light lemon aroma to the typically bready mild lagery aroma. Pretty basic super-light sort of savory salty light bitter taste. Decent pilsner as it is, but it deserves a rerate of a fresher sample (which Iíll try to do if I ever find one).

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours a clear golden with a white head. Grassy aroma, malty, slightly floral, with a bit of honey. Taste is much of the above, and just a bit skunky thrown in there. Some carbonation, yet light to drink. Not a whole lot to add in here, except that it might be better on a hot day.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From notes. First reviewed 9/8/2011. Poured from a 12 oz. bottle into a pint glass.
This pours a pale straw color, totally transparent with a fluffy white head. A little bit of lace is left as the head fades to a film.
Noble grassy hops, some light floral notes pair with a light pilsener malt in the aroma.
The flavor is clean and straight forward. Light malt balances with grassy floral hops. The sweetness is light, but it maintains throughout the sip.
The carbonation tries to be crisp but ends up a bit muted. Light to medium body, and a light tingle throughout the sip. A light oiliness at the end.
Pretty standard, not a ton going on here.

Hazy yellow with a white head. Soapy hay aroma. Taste is dry grain with metallic lemony tartness. Light bitterness. Not at all a pilsener.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Purchased at Binnyís in Chicago for my birthday in July, enjoyed at the end of October after a wedding tasting (for my future wedding). Appearance a slightly cloudy pale yellow with a very frothy white head. Aroma mostly of yeast, maybe a touch of crisp malt, hopefully the taste isnít altered by the age of this. Taste is pretty crisp, mostly yeasty, somewhat thin, overall pretty decent, nothing exemplary.
