Nothing too spectacular here. A bit of bitterness, quite grainy aroma. An okay pilsener.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a light yellow with lacing. One of the more grain driven beverages I’ve ever had. Like smelling and chewing on fresh harvested wheat. One note. But it’s a good note.

I found it to be a bit metallic for my liking but it is good. Light but flavorful. I would say it there are citrus, spice, and herbal elements that are a bit more apparent than the grain/bready aspect. Mild malts and minimal bitterness makes it very sessionable.

3.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Clear old gold with a full bubbly white head and a full lace covering. Good looking brew. The taste is clean malt coupled with light bittering. Not much complication or change through the palate, and no shot of hops in the finish, but still, a satisfying brew that can be sessioned easily, especially on a late summer afternoon. Recommended.

12oz bottle labeled Summit Bohemian Style Pilsener. Pours yellow with a 1 finger creamy off white head. Aroma is toast, grain, bread, grass, honey and malt sweetness. Flavor is toast, straw, heavy cereal grain, sweet, dry grass, mineral and bread, just a hint of citrus to the finish. Palate is lightish bodied, fairly neutral and slick on the entry and slightly dry to the finish. Not bad.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sampled at GABF 2012. Wish I had more Summit in LA. This was a grand refresher on the Thursday session. Bright and clear with great cereal taste and a touch of bitterness. Really nice.

I am not a pilsner fan, but this one is quality. A bit of sweet malts in it and nice Saaz hops counterbalance (at least that’s my guess for the hops). Good stuff, especially for a lager.

Bottle pour. Average pilsener here that has dryness and slightly bitter bite with the straw coloring.

Drinkable and mild. Grainy, dry with a grassy hop that goes down easy. Would be a good beer for a hot summer day.
