3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I’m not sure the world really needed another mediocre IPA. I like Summit beers in general, but there wasn’t really much of a reason for this one to be added to their regular offerings. It pours and average golden color with a one finger white foam head that fades quick and leaves minimal lacing. The aroma is the typical citrus and pine hops of most IPA’s. The flavor is bitter and grapefruit and pine up front, with a linger hops resin bitterness after. Needs more malts to balance the overload of hops. I like good IPA’s...especially Imperial IPA’s, but this one doesn’t do much for me at all. Not enough unique hops flavor, and very little to balance them out.

UPDATED: FEB 21, 2014 Enjoy by 02/05/13. Somewhat muted tropical fruit aromas, hint of malt in the nose. Golden color, 2 finger dense head. Taste opens fairly bitter, finish sweet with tropical notes. Body is good, fairly highly carbed. Really nice beer, best Summit I have ever had by a long shot.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Sampled at the Artisans Craft Beer Festival 2012. It poured a pale yellow color with a white head. The aroma was of fresh hops with a hint of cardboard. The taste was citrus with lemon, grapefruit and flowers. Very tasty IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
The beer pours a golden color with a white head. The aroma is full of resin notes as well as some biscuit malt and a hint of orange citrus. The flavor is very similar. I get some dry, resin notes and a hint of biscuit malt. The beer is very "sticky" and there is a medium amount of bitterness. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. A very nice IPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Floral and fruit aroma, golden bodied IPA with fluffy head. Aroma grows on you, however, beer has a on sided bitterness that the aftertaste of citrus and grapefruit cannot upright.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Deep golden body with a frothy off-white head. Aroma of floral hops, light perfume, citrus, tangerine, mango, grapefruit, toasted malt. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety texture, lively carbonation. Taste of lemon, citrus, grapefruit, pine. Too bad some husky grain creeps into the taste. Still, nice balance, enjoyable drinking.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12 oz bottle: Aroma has a nice pungent hop characteristic, resin, pine, sticky, and with a hint of grapefruit. Appearance is a clear golden with the slightest hue of amber in it, and a fluffy white head that lingers. Taste is uite nice hop upfront with a nice bite on the backend and a lingering sticky resin hop texture in the aftertaste. Overall, Good but not great. I would get it again. Cheers!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Stubby’s. Cloudy golden yellow with a medium slowly dissipating creamy tan head that makes some thick ass lace. Aroma is wonderfully dank with cat pee, woodsy notes, pine, resin and middle-of-the-road malt. Taste is west coasty and semi-dank with woodsy hops, tropical fruits and moderate to high bitterness. Solid.
