COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re proud to announce the new Summit Sága IPA, a decidedly different hop-forward brew due out in early May 2012. The beer has pronounced hop flavors and aromas of kiwi, passionfruit, apricot and gooseberry. Clean, assertive bitterness with balancing Pale malt characteristics. We hop it with the rare New Zealand Rakau hop along with Citra, Centennial and Amarillo. Named after the Norse Goddess of Poetry, who was the God Odin’s drinking companion... also, it was quite a saga to pick a name!

Fresh bottle from Capone’s. A bold minty spicy peppery IPA that stands out as the aftertaste is still on my palate some time after consumption. Deep yellow with good retained head. Middling mouthfeel. Good drinkability. Invigorating aroma.

Squat bottle from Capone’s. Pours clear dark straw with 2-finger off-white head. Nose is...oh my God, Bob Griese, lemme tell ya bout the nose. A huge concoction of that great Citra hop that has quickly become my favortie; tons of tangerine, honeydew, kiwi, mango, passion fruit, pine nuts, resiny sticky hops and tropical fruit all over the place, and malt to spare. The taste is that great Citra hop tropical fruit flavor, complex, with caramel malt to balance. Finishes hoppy and fruity, this one is awesome.

GNBF. Poured clear honeyed golden with a tall, sticky off-white head. The aroma picked up sweet citrus and floral notes over soft bready malt.. fresh and well-balanced. The flavor found lots of bitter grapefruit throughout.. sweet bread, biscuit, and light honey base.. tasty, refreshing finish. Light-medium bodied with moderate bitterness on the palate.. good feel and flow.. this was really good!

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Heritage Liquors in Maplewood, MN. Pours a clear golden amber colored IPA with a decent sized, rocky off-white head with excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of pine, apricots, a hint of tangerine, golden grain malt, and a hint of tropical fruits. Taste is medium bodied, lot of citrusy and pine flavors, tangerines, some lime zest, grapefruit and multi-golden grain malt. Finish is mildy bitter that slowly disappears but does not linger like most other IPAs. Lots of hop profile flavors without the lingering bitterness is the best way to describe this outstanding hoppy ale.
