COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re proud to announce the new Summit Sága IPA, a decidedly different hop-forward brew due out in early May 2012. The beer has pronounced hop flavors and aromas of kiwi, passionfruit, apricot and gooseberry. Clean, assertive bitterness with balancing Pale malt characteristics. We hop it with the rare New Zealand Rakau hop along with Citra, Centennial and Amarillo. Named after the Norse Goddess of Poetry, who was the God Odin’s drinking companion... also, it was quite a saga to pick a name!

Clear golden amber white head. Citrus zest, light floral fruit, faint pine and caramel. Moderate pine and citrus flavor with trailing bitterness. Little malt coming through. Medium crisp palate. Crazy drinkable, but could be beefed up in the aroma quite a bit and flavor to a lesser extent. Definitely above average, but could be great.

Bottle shared. Poured a medium orange color with eggshell head. Nice lacing on the glass, medium malt nose with slight hints of caramel and tropical fruits, the flavor holds true to the aroma. Nice mslt flavor matched evenly with the hops. Nice tropical burst of hops. Mild bitterness on the end. Overall pretty good offering from summit.

12 oz. bottle, consumed on 7-3-12. Mineraly aroma features citrus, pine, and sap scents. Good American IPA smell. Pours a clear, dark gold with moderate effervescence and a large amount of appetizing, uneven, beige head. Produces good, long-lasting lacing. Dry, lightly citrusy flavor matches the aroma, but I wish the taste were stronger. Long, dry aftertaste. Light to medium body. Soft in the palate. Overall, Summit Saga IPA is enjoyable but not special.

12oz bottle pours a bright golden/orange with a large white head. Aroma of resinous hops, lots of tropical fruits and citrus. Taste has a nice well rounded hop bitterness with sweet fruits. A little light on the flavor altogether but still really nice, clean and refreshing.

Bottle. Poured clear orange with thick off white head. Smelled of fresh orange, grapefruit, and and light caramel malts. Taste was citrus, grapefuit, a bit earthy as well with some weaker pale malts coming in.
