Draft at Jerry’s. Golden-orange with big, foamy white head, silky legs / Bright nose of citrus, tropical fruit, coconut, pine, and cream / Medium to full body, subdued fruit, good biting hops, somewhat astringent, and bitter finish / Muted flavors of orange peel, cut pine, grapefruit, and soap / Very nice.

4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle from Beubie.
Pours a clear golden yellow with a small wispy white head hat recedes to a thin collar.
Aroma is heavy on citrus fruits - pineapple and grapefruit - and lemongrass. The malts are faint and of the pale variety.
Light floral notes up front with pine and herbal grasses. The citrus is there as well, leaving a bitter pithy grapefruit finish. Pale biscuity malts in the background.
Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied and extremely drinkable. Maybe a tad watery, but that’s nitpicking.
This is a great IPA and one of the better Summit beers I’ve had. Could drink this all day.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Floral and fruit aroma, golden bodied IPA with fluffy head. Aroma grows on you, however, beer has a on sided bitterness that the aftertaste of citrus and grapefruit cannot upright.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours golden with a fluffy white head. Aroma is citrus and tropical fruits, grass, some almost peppery spice. Flavor is much more malty than the aroma would suggest, bready and caramel malts, with lots of bitter pine and fruity hops. Dry finish with a lingering earthy bitterness.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Slightly hazy honey color with 3/4" of stiff white head. Aroma is sweet and tropical with a mix of citrus and other fruits. Taste is the same, and the malt is clean, allowing the hop bitterness to punch through in the end. $2/12oz

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear golden amber white head. Citrus zest, light floral fruit, faint pine and caramel. Moderate pine and citrus flavor with trailing bitterness. Little malt coming through. Medium crisp palate. Crazy drinkable, but could be beefed up in the aroma quite a bit and flavor to a lesser extent. Definitely above average, but could be great.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz bottle pours a bright golden/orange with a large white head. Aroma of resinous hops, lots of tropical fruits and citrus. Taste has a nice well rounded hop bitterness with sweet fruits. A little light on the flavor altogether but still really nice, clean and refreshing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Otto’s in Brown Deer. Pours yellowish orange - quite clear - with a well defined white head leaving some nice lacing. Aroma has pine and faint citrus. A bit of herbal presence. All somewhat subtle. Taste is of citrus, pine and some resin. Mostly bitter but in a subtle way, again. A nice flavor set with a faint touch of sweetness. Finishes mostly bitter and with some length, especially as the glass went down. A nice easy drinker without a lot of forcefulness. Probably the tastiest Summit I’ve ever had.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: OCT 5, 2012 On tap at Tavern on France
Pours a nice, yellowish color. Does not pour dark as Iexpected but has a very good, hoppy aroma. Not superbly well-balanced but its a true IPA. Very good out of the tap with nice hoppy notes. Also, is very tasty from a bottle.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Coppery gold under a pithy off-white head which slowly settles into a thick layer while lace crawls up the sides of my glass. Lovely.
Grapefruit and key lime front and center followed by freshly grated spice in the middle while dew-dropped grass skirts the edges. Sticky hop resins in the back. Bright.
Not quite as intense but well balanced with clean brisk flavors that keep me smiling from first quaff to last. Medium weight. Lots of grapefruit and key lime rind and pith in the back of each swallow – parching and thirst inducing. Green grass. Juicy white grapefruit and lemon drops in the middle. Sticky along the edges and on my lips – hop resins.
Balanced, clean, refreshing, and sessionable tribute to the Saga hop variety from Summit Brewing out of Minnesota. I’d happily drink another.
