3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Gold with a nice little head that seems to last a while and leaves thick lacing. Musty floral hops, orange, and citrus blend nicely with bready caramel malt and doughy yeast. The flavor is similar, with moderate sweetness upfront, followed by strong, clean bitterness. Medium body with prickly carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at a local tasting benefit at 20West Liquors in Lombard, IL., and poured to a sampler glass from a 12 oz. bottle, displaying an orange/amber hue, lots of creamy, lasting, off white/light tan foam, and curtainy lacing. Notes in the aroma and flavor were subtle and balanced. Bready malt, a little caramel sweetness, and citrus and hay in the nose, even hop bitterness smoothed by the malt in the flavor, with a light creaminess to the mouthfeel, and a pleasant dryness to the finish. Nicely quaffable.

Bottled. Poured crystal-clear brighter golden with a sticky white head.. looked good in the glass. The aroma picked up honey and husky sweetness topped by earthy notes and lemon rind.. this came together quite well. The flavor found bread and honey sweetness at the core, with tart lemon rind laced throughout.. lighter-skinned fruits showed on the middle and rode through the finish.. very peppery in the end over dry residual sugars. Lighter-bodied, dry, and spicy on the palate.. enough and interesting enough hops to keep it engaging.. I actually kinda dug it.

12 oz. bottle from HVWS, poured into a 16 oz. shaker.
Aroma: Mostly grassy hops, some metallic notes. Hops prevalent, but not overpowering.
Appearance: Medium golden color, 1.5" of head that leaves tracing on the glass.
Taste: Bitter up front, with a sweet finish. Very interesting, this one.
Palate: Medium carbonation. Slight oily quality.
Overall: Quite tasty. I would disagree with some of the other posters who classified this as a summer or "lawn mower" beer -- I find that it has quite a bit more complexity than that.

Gold color. Surprisingly low carbonation. Hop aroma is prominent, but the flavor is bitter and dry. Wildflowers, and yeast in the finish. It goes down easily enough on a hot day. Just a little fruit in there.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Good summer beer with a pleasant hop-malt balance. Floral, grassy, fruity hops leave a pleasant bitterness in the finish. Malt is lightly sweet with a bready, toasty aroma/taste. Easy to drink. Mouthfeel is light and creamy. Good stuff.

The early going was quite bitter, very grassy and somewhat metallic, but it mellowed a little bit to offer a little fruitiness (wasn’t thinking pear, but I can get the apricot). I said to my neighbor, "it tastes too much like beer" and he said, "I can see what you mean". I meant that it tastes too much like a beer you would only drink because you really needed a beer on a hot day, not because it was a beer I would actually like to drink.

Bottle courtesy of CanIHave4Beers. Pours an attractive deep gold with an orange tint. Nose shows grassy hops, apricots, mandarin orange, and biscuity malts. Hops seem like a combination of the style used in British golden ales with those used in American versions, as well as perhaps those used in mild US pale ales. Lovely summer drink.

Draft at Stub & Herb’s. A nice, clear golden pour with white head. Aroma and flavor of pale malts, floral hops, bread, and grass with hints of citrus. Rather sessionable with a long grassy, bitter hop finish.
