COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique seasonal beer offers the warmth of an old English pub to help ward off the chill of a winter’s night. It has its origins in British neighborhood pubs where villagers would gather to shake off the damp cold of the bitter English winter. They’d share a pint or two of winter warmer ale by the fire, catch up on local gossip, and stay inside, where it was warm. We’ve brewed our version in the tradition of those winter ales, with a robust, full-bodied flavor and a tangy hint of spices.

A yummy and heavy winter ale. Not a casual drink but one to be savoured and contemplated. Plenty of depth with a nice duel of sweet and bitter. A good choice for winter ale lovers and those new to Summit who enjoy these types of brews.

Thanks to captain cougar for sending as an extra. This was a little better than I thought it would be. Aroma was rich and malty and maybe a little smokey. Flavor was kind of sweet, a light bitterness, caramel maits and maybe a hint of some chocolate malts. I guess I could see some of the spice too. Easy to drink and not to bad.

Dark brown in color with small head. Faint aroma with good sweet malty flavor. Ok, but not really that "strong"

this was decent. But not very strong for a strong ale. decent bee, but would probably skip it for something else

Pours a dark brown, with a deep reddish or rust colored tint to it, capped by an inch or so of creamy tan foam. A mild aroma of earthy spice and malt. Smooth malt flavor and a wave of spice great you with the first sip. And every sip thereafter. A touch of hop bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation, it goes down pretty easily. And so did the second pint…

Draft from DRE. The pour was dark brown with minimal off-white head. Aroma of roasty caramel malt, some X-mas spices, brown sugar, mild dark chocolate. Tasted roasty caramel malty, with hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and mild finishing hops.

Dark pour with off-brown head. Light hint of coffee. Up front has a toasted malt with a lot of carbination that is followed by a light touch of hops.

Dark with a short beige head...gone quickly. Smells mostly like coffee with a little roast malt. Well carbonated and not as thick as it looks; which strikes me as odd for a stout "winter ale".
