Commercial Description:
This unique seasonal beer offers the warmth of an old English pub to help ward off the chill of a winter’s night. It has its origins in British neighborhood pubs where villagers would gather to shake off the damp cold of the bitter English winter. They’d share a pint or two of winter warmer ale by the fire, catch up on local gossip, and stay inside, where it was warm. We’ve brewed our version in the tradition of those winter ales, with a robust, full-bodied flavor and a tangy hint of spices.

Pours a dark amber. Aromas of malts/toffee/spice. Flavors of malts, caramel, spice, and a lightly bitter finish.

Thanks to captain cougar for sending as an extra. This was a little better than I thought it would be. Aroma was rich and malty and maybe a little smokey. Flavor was kind of sweet, a light bitterness, caramel maits and maybe a hint of some chocolate malts. I guess I could see some of the spice too. Easy to drink and not to bad.

Draft: Pours dark brown with a finger of creamy beige head. Nice lacing. Light aroma is roasty and a bit sweet. Tastes rich with roast and evena little burnt malt. Some toffee, caramel, and earthy notes. Nice.

Was a little strange for me at first, but I eventually warmed up to it. Flavor of chocolate, malt, floral, spice, a slight sweetness, and some hop bitterness. REally interesting flavor, and would make an excellent winter beverage.

Draught at Ginger Man. Poured a bronze, brown colour with a medium off-white head and foamy lacing. Not a big aroma but some malt and coffee. Enjoyable sweet flavour that gives way to some bitterness in the finish. Good brew.

An airy, frothy head with a dark and somewhat coffee-like appearance has a light and toasty aroma. While the flavor tends a bit on the dry, somewhat flat side, there are undeniable hints of dark chocolate, malt, and oats. Best as a warm-you-up beer alongside a sharp cheddar.

Pours out a deep amner with a small white head that fades quickly. A nice roasted malt aroma. Taste is of malt, nuts, vanilla and mild spices. Light hop. A very nice medium bodied brew that goes down easy.
