3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a deep brown with minimal cream colored head.
Taste almost bready with clear malt flavor and various hints of fruit and other spices. In my opinion, Summits 2nd best beer.

On tap at Paddy long’s. Caramelly. A little spice of nutmeg and cinnamon. Smooth and bordering on flat. OK.

It’s dark enough, but a tad thin in "flavour".

Nice super dark amber or i guess you could say reddish brown color.Foamy long lasting tan head.Spicy malt aroma, with mild hints of coffee.Very strong coffee flavor little bite to it with a mild hint of vanilla in the tail end of the taste, slight amount of hops in the flavor but the most pronounced flavor is the coffee and possibly some dark chocolate. It also has a some what thin feel in the mouth. Not bad,but id rather have a great divide hibernation over this one.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nice deep dark cherrywood color with a deep ruby red glow, head starts about a finger high of dark tannish color, fades fast to a lighter almost ivory colored skim and lace which is in stringy sheets. Aroma is mild of light roasted coffee or old coffee lightly burnt-like roasted malts, notes of dry hops, dried wood, and plastic-like ethonal/alcohol notes. Taste is mild and plain with light notes of burnt roasted malts, a touch of old coffee and nutty dryness mixes over the top and in the finish. Has some woodish, dry hop notes. Nothing stands out but the dryness, which is a bit uneven and not all that good as it goes down. Feel is a bit thin with a drying texture midway through to the finish which coats the mouth and tongue with a dry spongy, spiked, lightly harsh cotton mouth. A slightly weak, boring, and a pretty unpleasant glass of beer. Smooth this out, get rid of the harsh dryness and texture and i might be interested in it again. Was hoping they changed this one much like the O-fest. But now I remember why I always skip by this one every year. I'll stick with the porter.

Pouring deep mahogany with a thin tan head, this has a deep roasted aroma with chocolate and nuts and coffee and spices. It’s a bit thing and watery in the mouth. The thusly weakened flavor still has plenty of roasted malts to enjoy along with bittersweet chocolate and some mild hopping on the finish. Odd ale.
