COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This unique seasonal beer offers the warmth of an old English pub to help ward off the chill of a winter’s night. It has its origins in British neighborhood pubs where villagers would gather to shake off the damp cold of the bitter English winter. They’d share a pint or two of winter warmer ale by the fire, catch up on local gossip, and stay inside, where it was warm. We’ve brewed our version in the tradition of those winter ales, with a robust, full-bodied flavor and a tangy hint of spices.

Clear mahogany with a slowly dissipating medium brown head. Aroma of caramel, lots of malt – toasted, roasted and sweet with the mildest of hops presence. Taste of caramel, mild chocolate , mild sugar, light chocolate and malt. Pretty devoid of flavor though it gets a bit better as it warms.

Pours a deep brown with minimal cream colored head. Taste almost bready with clear malt flavor and various hints of fruit and other spices. In my opinion, Summits 2nd best beer.

On tap at Paddy long’s. Caramelly. A little spice of nutmeg and cinnamon. Smooth and bordering on flat. OK.

Poured dark brown with a two finger off white head. Nice aroma, roasty and bready. There was a hint of underlying spice as well. Taste was nice. Not a tremendous body to it, but enough, the nose followed through to the taste. A nice change of pace winter beer.

A mild winter ale. The spice is understated, a little bit of cinnamon and nutmeg, but mostly just Bready malts.

Chestnut brown pour with aroma of chocolate, dark fruit, and toffee. Toffee, dark fruit flavor with some cinnamon, clove, and chocolate. Overall, a decent beer.

Annee pour from draft at Nisie lounge. White head. A little warm. Carmel, earthy, malts. Decent but wouldn't get it again.

It’s dark enough, but a tad thin in "flavour".
