Commercial Description:
This unique seasonal beer offers the warmth of an old English pub to help ward off the chill of a winter’s night. It has its origins in British neighborhood pubs where villagers would gather to shake off the damp cold of the bitter English winter. They’d share a pint or two of winter warmer ale by the fire, catch up on local gossip, and stay inside, where it was warm. We’ve brewed our version in the tradition of those winter ales, with a robust, full-bodied flavor and a tangy hint of spices.

The beer has a nice aroma and is a nice dark brown upon pouring. Overall this is a nice easy Winter beer to drink.

This beer pours a deep dark brown colour with a small tan head. It is accompanied by very sweet aromas: dark chocolate, tobacco, smoke and coffee. Taste of roasted malts. dark coffee and cinammon. fairly strong tasting, but above all a winter warmer indeed.

Pours dark, looks to be dark brown but is a dark ruby with dark brown and black at the sides of the glass when held up to a light, has a small creamy off-white head that diminishes, displayed some creamy bubbled lacing on the glass, aroma of roasted and toasted malt, some chocolate and malt sweetness, faint nut fragrance, resembles a brown ale, taste of roasted malt, brown sugar sweetness and some chocolate, resembles a brown ale in flavor to with chocolate and more sweetness added, not much in hops and the finish has minimal bitterness with malt flavor and sweetness following, this is very easy to drink, has a medium or less mouth feel, I would want a little more weight on the palate with a Winter Warmer but this is a light version of a Winter Warmer, not a bad drink at all.

12oz. brown bottle served in a shaker pint glass. Poured a deep brown with less than a finger of white head. Deep malty aroma, molasses and caramelized sugar. Rich malty flavor and mouthfeel. Plenty of caramel malt. Not a lot of hop bitterness, but enough to balance out the malt sweetness. Very easy drinking, solid beer.

My favorite of the strong ales. Buy up enough in November to last until it comes out again.....
