BeerFanDan17 (348), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA May 7, 2008 This was given to me by a friend who owns a bar and the AB distributor gave some of these out. Typical macrobrewed ale. This had some promise as an amber wheat ale. Unfortunately it fails to deliver because it is watered down.
MrBeerFanatic (195), jamestown, New York, USA Aug 3, 2008 Pours medium bodied lightly hazy amber with a frothy white head with an orange tint. Sweet aroma of wheat, hops, and citrus with. The flavor surprised me as I expected it to taste much like the aroma but all I notice is a slight citrus and malt taste with a slight note of hops. But the overall flavor just isn’t to good. Bitter end. I really don’t mind wheat beers but this one isn’t all to great but better than a lot of beers coming from Anheuser Busch. phishpond417 (1231), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Aug 3, 2008 A modest attempt at an american wheat, and i think they passed... somewhat. Pours a clear golden, orangeish colour with a fairly large white head. Lacing is attractive, and coats the glass well. Aroma is of old malts, and pear. Taste is a little off dry with a soft bitter hop finish. rkuhnel (1001), Eureka, California, USA Jul 29, 2008 From a 12 oz bottle. I did not realize this was from AB until I went to post this rating. Guess I should pay more attention to the bottle. Saw a six pack of this at BevMo, didn’t recognize it, and so thought I would try it. Poured a hazy light amber with small white head and light lacing. Nose of wheat malt and citrus hops. . Light mouthfeel. Flavor is very typical of a wheat beer, with the citrus hops and a little caramel sweetness.
Finish is bland. All in all quite drinkable and it gives me hope that AB might be moving toward putting ut something better than Bud. KingpinIPA (816), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jul 18, 2008 Golden color. Smell of hops, light citrus and minor spice. Taste of hops, pepper, citrus peal and corn/hay. Very light but is refreshing. raymow (733), Bensalem, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 18, 2008 Looks great! But that’s about the only good thing that I can say. There’s no aroma to speak of, Not much in the flavor department either. I mean, it’s drinkable and there’s nothing offensive about it, there’s just nothing noteworthy about it either. On the plus side for AB, it’s better than Bud!
