Draft to taster at Sun King. Looks decent; pretty light though, even for the style. A mostly transparent lighter gold with white head that steadily dissipates into lacing. Smells and tastes solid; hefe yeast with more banana than clove (which I prefer). Average on the palate. A solid hefe.

Growler. Banana, clove and wheat malt aroma. Cloudy golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet banana, moderately strong clove, and wheat malt flavor. On the spicy side - pretty good.

Sampler pour on tap at Sun King (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a hazy dulled golden doughy hue, some gentle darkness to the middle, gentle yellow golden glow on the edges and body. Loose whitish head atop dies to a film, laces small. Decent carbonation. Aromas show gentle bready malt, grain, mellow sweetness. Faint vanilla, kiss of estery banana. A bit tame overall. Initial is a bit more vibrant, well carbonated up front, a bit prickly with vanilla, banana, a richer fruity presence meeting some flaked wheat, dough, and straw. Faint waft of clove. Middle shows sustained vanilla coolness, richer banana ester, bubblegum zip. Some dryness and straw, decent clove as you start to round the corner into the backend. A bit dry, some apple and faint cidery appeal. Dry, a touch tart, and yeasty lingering elements. Bubblegum, banana, gentle spiciness as we finish. The nose was lacking but overall, it’s a pretty solid and richly flavored Hefe. Not watery or bland, a really potent fruity and estery kick that tapers back into the traditional dry and spicy feel as you finish. Pretty nice. Up the nose and this would be a real winner.

Draft: Hazy gold with a foamy, off-white head. Dull wheat aroma....citrus. Taste is wheat, orange/lemon.... Minimal spicing. A little flat and bland...

I had this one a while back at the brewery but just not got around to adding it to the database. A light orange pour with a thin white head. Light, refreshing, with citrus and lemon notes.
